“tov” is the Hebrew word for “good.” In Genesis 2:18, the words lo tov mean “not good” and describe the human condition of being alone. That's where our name came from, and the idea for an app where meeting someone can have meaning again.
We believe there should be a different way to meet someone online.
We're Rebecca and Jonah. What connects us is our Christian faith and the belief that relationships deserve more than quick swipes and superficial decisions.
At the same time, we see how difficult it can be for young Christians to meet people whose faith plays a similarly important role in everyday life. That's why we're building tov.

Where will tov. launch first?
We plan to launch city by city. This helps us make sure there are enough people in each area from the very beginning.
Who can use tov.?
tov. is designed for adult Christian singles looking for a relationship built on a shared foundation of faith.
Which denominations are welcome?
tov. is designed to bring together Christians from different church backgrounds. What matters isn't only your denomination, but how you live out your faith and what matters to you.
Do I have to belong to a church?
No. Being a member of a specific church is not a requirement for tov. What matters is the role faith plays in your life. At the same time, tov. can introduce you to people from different churches and may even help you discover communities that could be a good fit for you.
Why are there only a few suggestions each day?
Because we don't want people to become an endless stack of profiles. Fewer suggestions allow you to give more attention to the person in front of you.
How do you make sure profiles are real?
Profiles will be verified before users can actively use the app.
Will tov. also offer friendships?
Our initial focus is dating. We're already considering a separate space for Christian friendships in the future. Dating and friendship would intentionally remain separate experiences.
